I'm confused. Are our sons like George Bush or toy soldiers or the little tow-headed lad here? There's a kind of montage metaphor feedback loop going on here.
Wow. I was watching that thinking, 'hey, what's the big deal? I played with toy soldiers as a kid. It's fun! I played 'war,' the funnest game ever, as a kid... and I didn't end up fucked up or anything, so what's wrong with playing with toy soldiers?' And then the George Bush morph thing happens and I'm like, 'Oh yeah, no shit. George Bush is like a kid." Powerful stuff there.
